How did you choose which deck to play?
I have been playing Leaders such as Uta, and Katakuri since I started playing One Piece Card Game. I grew to enjoy playing more of Katakuri because I achieved reaching four times consecutive top 8 since January to May, he’s one of my favorite characters and the Leader Skill is very convenient when inserting Don, arranging top Life card (mine or opponent's top Life) then attacking +1000 Power to play around against the opponent despite there are a lot of aggro decks here in CDO city.
What preparations did you do beforehand?
I practiced a lot with my boyfriend then joined standard and meetup events whenever I’m available. During the matches he spectates or when we practice, we will always discuss thoroughly, whenever I practice the POV of using other leaders, and watch YouTube videos.

Round 1 vs RP Law (win). This was really lucky considering Katakuri is weak against aggro decks especially RP Law. MVP cards here were O-Nami Triggers early, and the unknown top life heal coming from BM10 with a Sanji 4c blocker Trigger play which I needed another character to attack his 1 Life on my turn to end the match plus the arranged bottom Life with 0-cost heal Trigger was enough to disrupt opponent's lethal.
Round 2 vs B Doflamingo (win). I just kept my composure facing another aggro deck. MVP cards here were the O-Namis' Triggers early, perfect curve playing first turn with two Big Mom 7c and consecutive BM10(s) to play safe. So many character swarms, need to control board and gladly another Sanji 4c blocker Trigger at the end of opponent's lethal.
Round 3 vs Moria (win). OK, another semi-aggro deck... I was glad to have perfect curve playing first turn with two Big Mom 7c and BM10 from mulligan. Though it was really difficult when defending against an opponent who keeps using the Leader Skill to attack 6000 Power then always revive play Perona effect to discard my handcards, Hogback getting the Peronas, and then it took turns to finally control his board with the Sakazuki 6c who has 7000 Power.
Round 4 vs P Luffy (win). Finally, not an aggro deck but a fun match up where it’s a 50-50 win. I was too blessed again with Triggers but this time it’s Kikunojo and Perospero. I didn’t have a perfect curve hand cards when I mulligan. Both of us was controlling our board clear but thanks to KO effect of Perospero I was able to draw and play consecutive BM10(s) after playing Katakuri 8c during eight Dons.
Round 5 vs Bonney. Perfect curve when playing second turn and contest of dropping big power characters. Glad to get hold of two Pudding searchers to attack his rested searchers attempts. Perospero Triggers helped a lot managing the attacks whenever my Leader/Characters are rested due to Bonney’s Leader Skill.
What can you say to those that did not make it to the top 8 cut?
I use my most comfy deck, so use your comfy deck and keep practicing.
