The deck is full of low-cost creatures that also generate and extra body on the board such as novice inspector, spyglass siren, and resolute reinforcements to gain early board presence.
Early game threats:
Using the convoke mechanic, creatures on the board can be used as mana to play powerful threats early in the game such as Knight Errant of Eos.
PROS:
- Can flood the board with creatures to snowball early.
- Knight Errant of Eos and Case of the Gateway offer card advantage to ensure your hand is never empty.
- Constant board refilling makes it difficult for control decks to keep up.
- Can outrace slower decks.
CONS:
- Weak to decks with boardwipes
- Needs to have creatures on board to get the needed payoff.
- Struggles with decks with excessive counterspells and removals.
